Sooraj Pancholi, a Bollywood actor, recently made headlines as a possible 'Bigg Boss' contender. The fact that he was so near to the reality show's presenter, Salman Khan, added to the excitement. Many media speculated that he might compete. However, he declined to take part in the show.

Pancholi's prospective participation in the reality programme first surfaced after he was acquitted in Jiah Khan's abetment to suicide case. After being acquitted by the court in April, the actor issued a statement in which he stated that the previous ten years had been 'difficult' for him and his family.
Sooraj Pancholi said during a conversation with a popular media portal, “I will never do a reality show. I wasn’t approached by them either. It’s not something I would do even though I know it has a huge viewership.”
He said that it's just not his personality, but he'd like to focus on performing in films and even web series. He mentioned, “I lost out on acting opportunities in the past because of my travel restrictions and a sword that was dangling on my head.”
Sooraj Pancholi went on to say that he would be willing to be a part of a documentary in which he could tell his side of the story.
He said, “If that happens, I would love to be a part of it as I can say things that haven’t been said yet.”
Jiah Khan committed suicide in June 2013. She wrote a six-page suicide note in which she described being cheated on and even raped, forcing her to have an abortion. After the court declared him not guilty, the actor stated that he had 'gotten' his dignity and confidence back.
