Bollywood star John Abraham is returning to the Force franchise. The Desi Boys star initially collaborated with film producer Vipul Shah on the previous two installments of the franchise, which were received well by the audience.
The action-drama, directed by Nishikanth Kamathh, was Vidyut Jamwal's first film in Hindi cinema. The second partnership for Force was with Sonakshi Sinha, who played the female lead alongside John Abraham. And now, there are rumours that Force 3 will be developed as the next installment of the series.
"John Abraham has purchased all of the rights to the Force franchise from Vipul Shah and is all gearing up to take things to the next level on the action front," a source close to the matter told a publication.
"In the Force universe, the actor is on a mission to find a tale that fits the type of action spectacle he wants to create. His team will move on to other aspects of pre-production once the script is locked," the insider stated.
If all goes well, Force 3 will hit the floors by the end of 2022 or the first quarter of 2023, according to the report.
Meanwhile, John Abraham has a lot of projects in the works, including Attack, Ek Villain 2, Pathan, a yet-to-be-titled comedy with Sajid Khan, and a remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum with Arjun Kapoor.
As soon as he finishes working on Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan, John will go to London for a grueling schedule of Sajid Khan's comedy, which also stars Ritesh Deshmukh.
