John Abraham unveils his first look from Tehran; film commences shooting

John Abraham who will soon be seen in Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns has announced his next project. The actor will soon be seen in an action thriller titled Tehran. The first look of Abraham from Maddock Films' next movie has been revealed. Abraham has started filming for the movie under the direction of Arun Gopalan, according to a tweet from Maddock Films' official account. Tehran is the first feature film directed by Arun, who specialises in commercials.

The introduction video features a series of quick shots of John, starting with side profiles and ending with a full, frontal, and up-close view of his intense expression. The movie is being made by Bake My Cake Films in collaboration with Maddock Films. The script for the film was written by Ritesh Shah and Ashish Prakash Verma.
In a previous interview, John spoke to a news portal about the film and said, “It is very Madras Café meets Batla House meets Parmanu. It’s in the geo-political space and I am so excited to start shooting for Tehran. I would probably be the first actor out of India to be shooting in Iran. I am very excited to be there.”
Meanwhile, John Abraham starrer Ek Villain Returns releases on July 29, 2022. The film, helmed by Mohit Suri also stars Disha Patani, Tara Sutaria and Arjun Kapoor in key roles.
