Junaid Khan surprises everyone by joining Aamir Khan for the ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ special screening
Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ had a special screening recently. To everyone’s surprise, Aamir was accompanied by his son Junaid. The aspiring actor was spotted in the car with Aamir Khan. Some paparazzi captures showed Aamir engaging in conversation with Shekhar Suman after the screening. Atul Kulkarni, Makrand Deshpande and Sandeep Singh also attended.
Recently, the hashtag ‘#BoycottLaalSinghChaddha’ was going viral. Some people wanted to have the film banned after the lead’s old ‘intolerance’ statement controversy resurfaced. Aamir on the same lines shared at an event, “I feel sad. Also, I feel sad that some of the people who are saying this, in their heart, they believe that I am someone who doesn't like India. In their hearts they believe, but it is untrue. It is rather unfortunate that some people feel that way. That's not the case. Please don't boycott my film. Please watch my film.”
The film is directed by Advait Chandan. The female lead is Kareena Kapoor and the film also marks the Bollywood debut of Naga Chaitanya. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ will soon release on the 11th of August. The film will clash with the release of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and the star had this to say about it, “Its a good week and it has two-three holidays. I think, two releases can work easily in this week. The COVID pandemic was there for almost two and half year, so two or three films releasing in a week is inevitable."
