Kajol is one of the leading actresses of her time who is still relevant in showbiz. She exploded onto celluloid in 1992 with the film, Bekhudi and went on to rule over Bollywood with blockbusters like Baazigar (1993), Dilwale Dulaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and many more. However, not a lot of people know that the diva didn’t want to enter the film industry and wanted a regular job.
Despite being the daughter of famed Bollywood actress Tanuja, Kajol said in a recent appearance on a reality show that she had no desire to be an actress and had no interest in entering Bollywood. She stated, "I never wanted to become a part of Bollywood or the Hindi film industry. I did not want to enter the industry as an actress. I always wanted to do a job, a job where I could get a paycheck in my account every month."
In another video, the actress discussed how she was scolded by her mother Tanuja when she was a child. Tanuja responded by saying that the My Name Is Khan (2010) actress would never listen to her.
Meanwhile, Kajol was recently seen in Tribhanga (2021) alongside Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar. She is currently collaborating with Revathi on her upcoming film Salaam Venky. It is said to be based on a true story about a woman and the hardships she experiences in life.
