Given the current trend of remaking big South Indian films, filmmaker and producer Karan Johar has something to announce. Karan has bought the rights to Hridayam (2022), a romantic Malayalam film, after declaring that he is returning to directing after a 5-year break. Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Darshana Rajendran starred in the popular Malayalam romance drama Hridayam, which was released earlier this year.
Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios have purchased the rights to Hridayam, according to Karan Johar, who made the major announcement on social media. Despite the fact that Johar did not disclose the film's cast, he did say that it will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. KJO took to Twitter and wrote, "I am so delighted and honoured to share this news with you. Dharma Productions & Fox Star Studios have acquired the rights to a beautiful, coming-of-age love story, #Hridayam in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu all the way from the south, the world of Malayalam cinema. Thank you
visakhsub &
MerrylandCine for this huge win. Can't wait for you to see it! More updates incoming, stay tuned! (sic)."
Karan Johar is making a comeback as a director after a 5-year hiatus. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, will be his next directorial venture. The film will be released in 2023, and it is already being hailed as one of the most anticipated films of the year.
Meanwhile, on September 9, 2022, Karan Johar's film Brahmastra will finally hit the theatres.
