Kareena Kapoor is the most celebrated actress from Bollywood for her intense characters in films and her choice of film roles. Now she will play a character inspired by Kate Winslet's character Emmy who won a turn in the web series Mare of Easttown for her next film. The actress recently finished shooting for her latest project, which Hansal Mehta directs, in the UK. She plays the role of a mother and detective at the same time. She has to look into a murder in a small town in Buckinghamshire.
Balaji Telefilms and Mahana Film will produce the film, and this film will mark Kareena's foray into production. She shared that she convinced director Hansal and Balaji Telefilms' Ekta Kapoor to come on board as a producer. Kareena reveals that the film has 80% of the dialogue in English and 20% in Hindi.
Kareena Kapoor talks about her part in The Buckingham Murders. She said, "I love Mare of Easttown, and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something that I've really been dying to do. So we've molded a little bit on those lines, she plays a detective cop in that. It's the first time that I've dabbled in that."
Besides this murder mystery, Kareena also finished Sujoy Ghosh's The Devotion of Suspect X, an official adaptation of Japanese author Higashino Keigo's popular novel. The Netflix film Kareena's OTT debut also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.
