The football world is empty after the passing of Brazilian legend Pele. The footballer, who was 82 years old when he died on Thursday, was largely considered as the greatest player in history. Following his protracted struggle with cancer, he died from multiple organ failure.

As comments came in from all around the world, Bollywood celebrities too used social media to express their sorrow and offer moving homage to the legend. Actors like Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Vicky Kaushal, and Kareena Kapoor were among the others who paid their respects to the soccer king’s demise.

PELE’S DEMISE
The soccer player from Brazil, whose real name was Edson Arantes do Nascimento, had colon cancer. In Sao Paulo, he had been receiving treatment at the Albert Einstein Medical Center. The hospital issued a statement following his passing to clarify that he passed away on Thursday, November 29, after a protracted fight with cancer. The "multiple organ failure" was the cause.
