The psycho-thriller Freddy, which the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor directed, is currently getting excellent reviews. But after experiencing success as a masala entertainer, few people anticipated him to venture outside the norm. However, given that this is what Kartik Aaryan desires, you should expect the unexpected. The Satya Prem actor was open and honest in an interview about the difficulties actors experience following a blockbuster movie and his desire to avoid stereotypes.
There was, of course, a desire to do something new since, after a big movie, you start getting proposals for films in the same genre, and I want to make sure I have an excellent script in the same genre. But I was specifically looking for a movie like Freddy that wasn't created in India, as it was entering this exciting territory.
Kartik continued, ‘I also used to watch these movies a lot, and when Freddy came to do it, I was like, I wanted to do this just.’Kartik said that he particularly enjoys watching thrillers. They never wanted to see a Kartik Aaryan in me. Thus, I knew this character would be complex. I was thrilled that I had to establish my worth once more because it was an opportunity accompanied by many challenges.
I'd love to act in comedies, rom-coms, and other things, and I'm delighted my brain is wired differently.’
Kartik Aaryan is working on several projects lined up. Captain India, Shehzada, and Satyaprem Ki Katha are included.
