Bollywood star Kiara Advani needs no introduction. The actress made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with the film Fugly and never looked back since then. She is currently basking in the success of her recent film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), and has back-to-back projects lined up. However, success didn’t come easy for her.
In an interview, Kiara spoke about her personal struggles and a low point in her career. Even though certain things didn't work out, the Shershaah (2021) actress expressed gratitude for the start of her journey, saying, "I am grateful for the support I got from people, who gave me those chances and believed in me Today. I have understood more about myself, which wasn’t the case earlier. I started when I was 21. I didn’t know who I was, who I wanted to be, what I wanted to say… I had a dream of becoming an actor, but I didn’t know what kind of stories I wanted to tell or what my voice was."
She explained how the films Lust Stories (2018) and Guilty (2020) drove her career forward, saying, "When I chose to do Lust Stories or Guilty, I was not at my peak. Lust Stories was a choice I made because I wanted to work with Karan Johar. These films did well and pushed my career. It was all instinctive. Success makes you feel a sense of responsibility."
When asked about the types of films she wants to be a part of, Kiara said that she wants her roles to reach a wider audience.
