Kriti Sanon roped in for Dinesh Vijan’s next film opposite Shahid Kapoor
Earlier, it was reported that Dinesh Vijan has signed Shahid Kapoor for his next romantic drama. Now, it is revealed that the Mimi actress Kriti Sanon has bagged the role of the female lead in the film. A source close to the film claims that the paperwork was completed a few days ago and that Shahid and Kriti would be working together for the first time. After Raabta, Luka Chuppi, Arjun Patiala, MiMi, Hum Do Hamare Do, and Bhediya, this untitled movie would mark Kriti's seventh collaboration with Dinesh Vijan.
The source revealed, "It's a unique love story that called for a fresh casting, and that's when the team unanimously decided on bringing Shahid and Kriti together for the first time. The duo is all excited to commence the journey on this film from October/November this year. Some script reading sessions and workshops will start in September. The talented duo will make for a great on-screen pair." The film will be reportedly shot in 4 to 5 months in Mumbai, Delhi, and Europe. Coming under the Maddock Films banner, the film will be released next year.
Apart from this, Kriti will star in the horror comedy Bhediya alongside Varun Dhawan which is slated to release this November. She also has Shehzada with Kartik Aaryan and Ganapath starring Tiger Shroff and Eli Avram in her kitty. Shahid will also star in Ali Abbas Zafar’s thriller film and has Farzi with Raj & DK which will release on Amazon.
