Kriti Sanon Visits Siddhivinayak Temple To Seek Blessings After Winning National Film Award 2023 (Watch Video)

In a heartwarming gesture, Kriti Sanon paid a visit to Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple in the wake of her historic National Film Awards victory. In a series of Instagram videos posted by a paparazzo account, the actress, accompanied by her sister Nupur Sanon, can be seen at the temple premises.

For this temple excursion, Kriti donned an elegant yellow kurta with coordinating palazzo pants and a dupatta. Her sister Nupur also embraced traditional attire. After her devotions, Kriti took the initiative to distribute sweets to the paparazzi present and even posed for pictures with young children outside the temple.

The video clips captured a moment where Kriti graciously joined her hands in gratitude towards the paparazzi, waving to them before stepping into her car. However, near her vehicle, some women and children sought assistance. Responding kindly, Kriti handed money to a person and suggested purchasing something nearby.

Notably, Kriti recently shared her conversation with News18, highlighting her exchange with fellow actress Alia Bhatt after their shared success at the National Film Awards. She said, “I’ve always admired Alia as an actor and she was phenomenal in Gangubai Kathiawadi. We’ve both played the title role in our respective films and it’s a proud moment to be sharing this prestigious award with her! I called her up and both of us were just too excited.”

Kriti's achievement coincides with Alia Bhatt's recognition for her role in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. Pankaj Tripathi, another outstanding talent, was also acknowledged with a National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his contribution to ‘Mimi’. she had said, “My excitement was doubled when I saw Pankaj ji has won for Mimi too. I called him up and we spoke...I’ve great regard for him. He’s one of my most favourite co-stars and I truly always wish and pray for the best for him. I’m so happy that he’s getting all the love and validation he truly deserves.”

The narrative of ‘Mimi’ unveils the story of a young woman named Mimi, portrayed by Kriti, who embarks on the journey of becoming a surrogate mother for a foreign couple, driven by her aspiration to enter the world of acting. The film takes a poignant turn when the couple withdraws their decision upon learning that the child will be born with Down syndrome.
