Kubbra Sait, who is known for her unconventional roles, recently seized the opportunity to write her memoir, Open Book: Not Quite a Memoir, in collaboration with Harper Collins. In the book, the actress confesses to being a victim of sexual assault and that she was molested for a long period by her 'uncle,' whom her family mistook for an angel.
Kubbra claimed in the book that she was just 17 years old when she was involved in the "greatest tragedy" she had ever witnessed. She mentioned going to a Bangalore restaurant with her family on a daily basis, and how the owner grew friendly with both her and her brother, Danish.
According to the actress, he even helped their mother with her 'financial troubles.' Kubbra claims that the man began sexually abusing her shortly after his 'help.' He also asked that she not refer to him as ‘uncle’.
The man also threatened Kubbra's family, stating "He will kill us" if she ever told her family about her sexual assault, according to Kubbra, who also wrote it in her book, "Life isn't a fairy tale."
The Sacred Games (2018) actress stated that she believed what he said and that if she were given the same cards today, she would probably do nothing differently. Her mind and spirit, she stated, 'felt dead' at that time.
Kubbra is best known for her role as Kuku in the Netflix hit series Sacred Games (2018).
