Aamir announced the news on his production company's Instagram account. “I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947. Fans of the two performers were pleased about their collaboration, despite the fact that little information about the film's narrative is now available.
Aamir's most recent film, ‘Laal Singh Chadha,’ did not perform well at the box office. It was, however, well received when it was added on Netflix. The Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' popular Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’ also stars Kareena Kapoor.

Sunny Deol is fresh off the triumph of his recent film, ‘Gadar 2.’ The film grossed over 525 crores at the box office and, for one day only, became the highest-grossing Hindi film in India of all time, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Pathaan.’ However, just a day after, Shah Rukh's latest movie ‘Jawan’ knocked it off the top spot.
