Liger: Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer song Akdi Pakdi has got us all grooving to the beats

The much-anticipated song Akdi Pakdi from the sports drama Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, is now released. The lead couple's outstanding dance moves elevate this energetic song to a new level. These two are featured in the song as they light up the stage with their charisma and killer skills. Akdi Pakdi has all the ingredients to become the year's biggest party tune.

The opening scene of the song's music video features Vijay and Ananya Panday riding a motorcycle while she reclines on the gas tank in front of him and blows kisses at him. When the tempo slows down, the scene changes to a neon-lit disco with both actors wearing flamboyant, colorful attire. The two then do some spirited dance moves to a playful, romantic song with Vijay's character attempting to seduce Ananya. Then, together with many backing dancers, they present what they refer to as the "Liger step."

Dev Negi, Pawni A. Pandey, and Lijo George sang and wrote the lyrics for the Hindi version, which was also written by Mohsin Shaikh and Azeem Dayani. The Telugu song's lyrics were written by Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar, with vocals provided by Anurag Kulkarni and Ramya Behara. Meanwhile, Sagar, who also sings the single with Vaishnavi Kovvur, has written the Tamil song. Dharma Productions shared the video and wrote, “The biggest dance track of the year Akdi Pakdi is here, with the unbeatable energy from Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday.”

In the film, Vijay Deverakonda will portray a kickboxer with a speech impediment. The trailer, which was made public in December, told the tale of a Mumbai-street slumdog who rose to the top of the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) sport. The movie also marks the debut of former great boxer Mike Tyson in Bollywood. He will only appear in the movie as a cameo, though. Liger is slated to release in theatres on August 25, 2022. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.
