After Lust Stories' (2018) enormous success, a sequel to the anthology is anticipated. This time filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is reported to have cast Tamannaah Bhatia to play the lead in his short. The collection of four short films brilliantly captured how lust is regarded in India. Vijay Varma, who most recently won plaudits for his portrayal of an alcoholic, violent husband to Alia Bhatt's character in the movie Darlings, is also apparently in talks to star in Ghosh's film.
A source close to the development revealed that Tamannaah and Vijay will begin filming with Sujoy the following month. Closer to the shooting date, they will begin the reading and preparation. The Baahubali actress reportedly visited Sujoy Ghosh's workplace at one point. Sujoy Ghosh and Tamannaah Bhatia are collaborating for the first time in this project. However, Vijay and Sujoy had already worked together on the Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat-starring film The Devotion of Suspect X.
The anthology, which is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashi Dua, and Netflix, will serve as a continuous sequel to Lust Stories and feature short films from renowned filmmakers like R. Balki, Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Konkana Sen Sharma, and Sujoy Ghosh. According to reports, R Balki has chosen Mrunal Thakur, Angad Bedi, and Neena Gupta for his part in Lust Stories 2 and has already wrapped up filming. Tillotama Shome and Amruta Subash would be the featured artists in Konkana Sen Sharma's section. Additionally, Kajol will appear in Amit Ravindernath Sharma's movie.
