On September 7, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu served as the starting point for the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a mass contact programme of the Congress. On November 7, it arrived in the Nanded district of Maharashtra.
After stopping for the night at a ginning pressing business, the yatra set off at 6 am on Thursday from Patur. It would go on through Balapur in the evening and get to Buldhana district's Shegaon early on Friday. Besides Nanded, it has so far covered the Hingoli and Washim districts of the state.
On November 20, the march's route will pass through the Maharashtra districts of Akola and Buldhana before heading to Madhya Pradesh.
On Thursday, actor Riya Sen joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra in the Maharashtra district of Akola and walked alongside party leader Rahul Gandhi. Pooja Bhatt, an actor and filmmaker, participated in the yatra in Hyderabad earlier this month.
Sen and Gandhi took part in the 71st day of the foot march, as shown in a sequence of photos posted on the Indian National Congress's official account.
"Actor Riya Sen participated in the #BharatJodoYatra. Currently, the revolution can be seen on the roadways” the tweet. Sen, who is most known for the movies "Jhankaar Beats" and "Noukadubi," also posted on Twitter about the yatra.
"Happy to be a part of this platform not only from the film industry but also as a proud citizen!” Riya Sen tweeted. She defined the Bharat Jodo Yatra as a "show of unity" in a previous post.
"Grateful to be a part of an initiative that is focused on bringing the people of this country together! RahulGandhi thank you for championing this bold initiative in a show of unity. #BharatJodoYatra," Sen tweeted.
