Mahesh Bhatt the OG ‘Aashiqui’ director comments on Kartik Aaryan’s next; says ‘Soar high’
The announcement
Kartik Aaryan elated his fans with the news that he will soon star in the romantic film ‘'Aashiqui 3'. The film will be directed by Anurag Basu and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Vishesh Films. Kartik in a recent interview shared that "The timeless classic ‘Aashiqui’ is something I grew up watching, and working on ‘Aashiqui 3’ is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful for collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”
The ‘Aashiqui’ films
In 1990, Mahesh Bhatt directed the film titled ‘Aashiqui’. It starred Anu Aggarwal and Rahul Roy. In 2013, ‘Aashiqui 2’ was directed by Mohit Suri and starred Aditya Roy Kapur opposite Shraddha Kapoor.
