Manushi Chhillar opens up on the age gap with Samrat Prithviraj co-star Akshay Kumar
Manushi Chhillar, the former Miss World, has made her big-screen debut in the film Samrat Prithviraj (2022), opposite Akshay Kumar. The actress is relieved that her first film, a historical drama, has finally been released after more than a year of waiting.
At various points during the promotion of the film, several people questioned her about the age gap with Akshay Kumar. Manushi reportedly stated to a news outlet that their characters, Prithviraj and Sanyogita, had an age gap as well.
According to her, the cast should be appropriate regardless of who is older than whom, whether the woman or male is older. The actress also noted that as an actor, you should dress and act like the character, regardless of whether the character is younger or older than you are.
She went on to say that if you can look as near to your role as possible, you're an excellent actress. According to her, the director is also vital because he must present the actor in a specific manner. The actor must consider the age of the role he or she is playing.
The young diva also stated that she expects to play characters much older or younger than herself in the future. However, she believes that if she can persuade others that she is the character, she has accomplished her goal.
Samrat Prithviraj is out in theatres.
