Merry Christmas: Katrina Kaif joins forces with Vijay Sethupathi for Sriram Raghavan’s next
After months of speculations, Katrina Kaif has finally announced that she is teaming up with acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan for his next directorial venture Merry Christmas. The gorgeous actress, who recently married Vicky Kaushal in an intimate but grand wedding ceremony in Rajasthan, will share the screen space with Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi.
On Christmas, Kaif took to social media to share a photo with the team of Merry Christmas. The actress is seen posing with director Sriram Raghavan, producer Ramesh Taurani and Sanjay Routray, and co-star Vijay Sethupathi. She confirmed that the film began production last week and that she is psyched up about teaming up with Raghavan and Sethupathi for the first time.
“New Beginnings. Back on set with director Sriram Raghavan's Merry Christmas! I have always wanted to work with Sriram Sir, he is a master when it comes to narratives that showcase thrillers and it is an honor to be directed by him,” Kaif wrote on her handle.
She added, “Super excited to be teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi for this one produced by Ramesh Taurani.”
Merry Christmas is an out-and-out 90-minute-long thriller with no interval. The team is looking at releasing the film near Christmas in 2022. The official release date is yet to be locked though. More details are expected to arrive soon.
