There is no doubt that veteran actress Neena Gupta is indeed an inspiration to us and no one can deny that. From being a single mother to creating her own space in the entertainment industry, the actress has proved that she will never give up. The veteran actress said in a recent interview that her parents wanted her to become an IAS officer and were strictly against going to Mumbai to try in Bollywood.
But luckily, for all the film lovers, God has written something else in her destiny. Talking about the beginning of her career, the actress shared that she was jealous of Shabana Azmi.
Talking to a news portal, Neena Gupta said, "Long time back, I used to be jealous of Shabana Azmi because she used to get all the nice parts. There were many other actresses also. Sometimes I was told that we are doing this role but was thrown out from it."
Gupta also said that she is much calmer now as she is getting good characters to play. The actress also revealed that her competition now is with herself, she says, adding that she should not make any mistakes and work more professionally. And this word of hers is definitely an inspiration to all of us.
In her professional work, Gupta has been in a number of successful films over the years. The experienced actress is presently starring in the second season of Panchayat, a web series. Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Biswapati Sarkar, and Chandan Roy also star in the web series. In the upcoming second season of Masaba Masaba, Gupta will once again share screen time with her daughter, Masaba Gupta.
