Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, who made in his Hindi film debut in 'Johnny Gaddar' (2007), has said that in 2022, he realised the 'importance of health, family, love and relationships'.
Sharing a glimpse of his epic physical transformation journey, the actor recalled the time when he was ridiculed by some people who questioned his willpower.
The 'Lafangey Parindey' (2010) actor said he had not idea how 'difficult and challenging' the journey to a fit physique was going to be- in order to lose all the extra kilos he had gained. He also thanked his family for supporting him during this difficult phase.
Sharing a series of 'Before and After' pictures on his official Instagram handle, Neil wrote, "As I look back at the year 2022, I am nothing but grateful. I am grateful to my family, to my dear friends and above all to the Almighty, to encourage me and give me the strength and power to go through this difficult transformation. As an actor we mould ourselves in various characters and take up challenges beyond our imagination."
"When I gained weight for a role of mine, little did I know that it would be so difficult and challenging to lose it all again. But I guess that is exactly what I needed, a challenge!!," the caption further read.
Thanking fans, his parents, his brother and his wife Rukmini Sahay, Neil said: "You all have stood by me all these years and it’s your love that has given me the strength to forge ahead. This is for you!! Welcome 2023."
On professional front, Neil Nitin Mukesh was last seen in the 2019 film 'Sahoo', which featured Baahubali actor Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor.
The 40-year-old actor is all set to collaborate with Dileep and Tamannaah for Arun Gopy's upcoming Malayalam film titled 'Bandra'
The film will mark the Malayalam debut of Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has earlier acted in some Telugu and Tamil films.
