Netizens react to Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay Kumar in Hera Pheri 3
After much delay, the third installment in the Hera Pheri franchise titled 'Hera Pheri 3' is all set to roll soon. While fans were expecting to see Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty reprise their iconic roles, Akshay's exit from the film has left everyone baffled.
Apparently, Akshay Kumar, who played Raju in Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri, was not very convinced with the storyline of the Hera Pheri 3. Hence, he didn't sign on the dotted line and opted out of the project. After this, the makers decided to cast Kartik Aaryan in his place.
Recently, Paresh Rawal also confirmed the news that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor Kartik Aaryan has been roped in to replace Akshay Kumar in 'Hera Pheri 3'. On being asked by Twitter user if it's true that Kartik is doing Hera Pheri 3, Paresh replied, "yes, it's true".
Fan threatens to boycott Hera Pheri 3 if there's no Akshay Kumar
In no time, there was a hullabaloo on social media, with fans expressing disappointment over the news. While one user wrote, "It will be worse decision
It is difficult to imagine this movie without akshay", another user said, "Without Akki, Let us #BoycottHP3".
However, there is a section of Twitter users who said Kartik might play Raju with equal humour as he had earlier reprised Akshay's role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa to perfection.
Besides Hera Pheri 3, Kartik Aaryan has a plethora of projects in the pipeline
On work front, Kartik Aaryan will next feature in Shashanka Ghosh's Freddy. A psychological thriller, the film also stars Alaya F.
Besides, Kartik will also feature in Shehzada and Satyaprem Ki Katha, both of which will release in 2023.
