The scene in question going viral online features Ranbir and Vaani with a baby in their arms. However, it appears the makers didn't pay too much attention to detail and doubled up a piece of cloth to resemble an infant.
In a scene that featured in the climax of Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor's character Balli was busy fighting Shuddh Singh (Sanjay Dutt), and Vaani Kapoor as Sona was seen engaging in a sword fight while protecting a baby in her hand. However, netizens quickly pointed out that Vaani was holding a wrapped cloth in her arms and the makers did not even put a figurine inside the cloth for effect. The goof-up in the Shamshera scene quickly went viral on social media, and netizens laughed over it.
"Great acting sequence. But let’s just assume that there is a baby in her hand," said a Twitter user while sharing Vaani's fight sequence. Another noted that the film had a budget of over 150 crores but didn't think of using a doll during the shoot.
A user said, "Uff that's a massive goof-up for a 150 cr movie." "I watched it last night, and I noticed this in the whole climax that it's so visible that they r shooting without baby; at least they could edit and add baby face there," commented another.
Shamshera is backed by Yash Raj Films and directed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath fame. The period movie features Ranbir Kapoor in a double role for the first time in his career. Released on July 22, the film failed to impress the audience and the critics.
