Netizens threaten to boycott Hrithik Roshan's Vikram Vedha after he supports Laal Singh Chaddha
Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's much awaited film Laal Singh Chaddha finally released in theatres on 11th of August. However, the film has been surrounded by controversies for a while now; with a section of viewers boycotting the film.
While many celebrities openly came out in support of Laal Singh Chaddha, others condemned the 'Boycott Culture' that has become a trend these days.
Jodha Akbar actor Hrithik Roshan also praised Laal Singh Chaddha on social media and urged viewers to watch the film. “Just watched LAAL SINGH CHADDA. I felt the HEART of this movie. Pluses and minuses aside, this movie is just magnificent. Don’t miss this gem guys ! Go ! Go now . Watch it. It’s beautiful. Just beautiful,” he wrote.
However, Hrithik's appreciation and praise did not go down well with some netizens, who slammed the actor and even threatened to boycott his upcoming film Vikram Vedha. Some even started trending the hashtag #BoycottVikramVedha on Twitter.
For starters, Vikram Vedha is a neo-noir action thriller film written and directed by Pushkar–Gayathri from a screenplay by Neeraj Pandey. Produced by YNOT Studios, Plan C Studios, T-Series Films and Reliance Entertainment, it is a remake of the directors' 2017 Tamil film of the same name. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Radhika Apte.
Made on a budget of Rs 175 crore, the film is scheduled to be theatrically released worldwide on 30 September 2022.
