No experience is more satisfying than touching the lives of people: Sonu Sood

Actor Sonu Sood is a man with a golden heart. He has been a part of the entertainment industry for a long time now but became an instant sensation for his humanitarian acts. During the covid lockdown, he became a national hero and a messiah for the stranded migrants and the needy.

Reflecting on those tough times, Sonu says- "When I saw those migrants and helpless people walking on roads, with their kids, and elders, those were the most disturbing visuals of my life. I decided I am not going to sit at home and crib about it. That's where it all started."

Admitting that touching human lives is the most fulfilling human experience, Sonu says that it was simply magical.

"I've played many roles in life- an engineer, an entrepreneur, an actor but there is nothing more satisfying than touching the life of a common man who's struggling. It is so fulfilling- bringing a difference to someone's life and giving them a boon. In fact, it is something that i love doing and now I simply can't imagine my life without it."

The 48-year-old actor, who is known for films like Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005), Jodha Akbar (2008) and Dabangg (2010), recently took over from Rannvijay Singha as the host of MTV Roadies 18. Speaking about the same, Sonu says the journey of Roadies has been incredible.

“When I reached the set for the first time, I had decided - it’s fine that I am a host - but I also want to be a Roadie like them. All the new and ex Roadies should be able to connect with you. Hence, we established a very good rapport during the 40-45 days shoot in South Africa. The contestants evolved during the journey- I've seen them grow into more responsible individuals. Fun and adventure intact, this was more inspiring."

Sonu says he is very content with how life has turned up for him. On his journey so far, he says- "I feel grateful and truly humbled. God has been kind and always guided me in the right track. I couldn't have asked for more."

On the work front, Sonu Sood's next big Bollywood release is Prithviraj (2022). The movie, produced by Yash Raj Films, is based the life of legendary king Prithviraj Chauhan. It features Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan, while former Miss World Manushi Chhillar makes her Hindi film debut by playing her role Sanyogita.

Prithviraj also stars Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari in other pivotal roles.
