Nora Fatehi tests positive for COVID-19, confirms her spokesperson

As per health officials, the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic has begun and it is going to be a lot more severe in the coming few weeks. Over the past few weeks, several prominent members of the film industry have contracted the virus. The latest one is popular Bollywood star Nora Fatehi who tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday and is currently quarantined at her residence in Mumbai.

Confirming her diagnosis, her spokesperson released a statement and said that the actress’ pictures that are currently doing the rounds on the internet are old. For those who came in late, photos of Fatehi clad in a yellow kurta and white pants have been circulating on social media for a while now.

“On behalf of Nora Fatehi, as her spokesperson, I would like to inform that Nora Fatehi has been tested positive for COVID on 28th of December. Abiding by the protocols, Nora has been quarantined under the doctor’s observation since then and has been cooperating with BMC for the safety and regulations. Amid the same, the spotting pictures in circulation since yesterday are from an earlier event in the past and Nora has stepped nowhere out recently. We would therefore request to please ignore the old pictures,” read the statement.

Confirming her diagnosis herself, Fatehi took to Instagram Stories and wrote that she is feeling the effects really bad. “Hey guys, unfortunately, I am currently battling COVID… It has honestly hit me real hard! I have been bedridden for a few days now under doctor supervision.”

She added, “Please stay safe guys, wear your masks, it is spreading fast and can affect everyone differently! Unfortunately, I have reacted badly to it. This could happen to anyone, please be careful! I am working on recovering at the moment, that's all that matters right now. Nothing is more important than your health! Take care, stay safe.”
