Akshay Kumar announced that the teaser for his long-awaited satirical comedy 'OMG 2' would be released on Tuesday, July 11,2023, one month before the film's August 11, 2023 release date. 'OMG 2' is the sequel to his 2012 hit 'OMG - Oh My God!,' in which Paresh Rawal also appeared.

Akshay released the posters for 'OMG 2' last week, starring him as Lord Shiva, Yami Gautam as a lawyer, and Pankaj Tripathi. He also stated that the teaser would be released soon.

Now, Akshay revealed on Sunday that the 'OMG 2' trailer will be released on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. He released the date alongside a brief video of him marching furiously towards the camera in his Lord Shiva form. 'Har Har Mahadev' chants fill the background.

The film is a collaboration between Akshay's Cape of Good Films and Viacom18 Studios. Govind Namdev, who played an agitated sadhu in the first installment, also appears. While the first installment also starred Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakraborty, the sequel follows a new storyline with new characters played by Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi.

Arun Govil, who played Rama in Ramanand Sagar's TV series 'Ramayan,' will reprise his legendary role as Lord Rama in 'OMG 2.'

On August 11,2023, 'OMG 2' will collide in theatres with another popular, long-awaited sequel. On the same day, 'Gadar 2,' the sequel to Anil Sharma's 2001 historical smash, would be released. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel will return as Tara Singh and Sakina, respectively, in their famous roles.
