'OMG 2' is mired with controversies and one of them is by the saints in Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain who seem to be upset with certain scenes which are not in line with their religious sentiments. We recently reported about the film undergoing 20 cuts and an 'A' certificate being given.
'OMG 2' is said to be a legal drama in which a father fights for his son and explores the sensitive topic of sex education, with a focus on masturbation. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has said that Akshay Kumar did a great job in the movie, but they are also worried that it might make people angry.
Now, netizens and fans who are eagerly anticipating the release of the film have drafted an open letter to Anurag Thakur, who is the Union Minister for Information And Broadcasting to step i n and take some action.
People are upset that the CBFC gave its stamp of approval to films like Adipurush, which had offensive language, and 'Oppenheimer,' which had a sex scene while discussing the Bhagavad Gita.

The movie is set to come out on August 11, 2023, but it might have trouble making money because it comes out at the same time as Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2'. It is hoped that the impasse between the filmmakers and the temple leaders can be cleared up quickly so that 'OMG 2' can come out without any problems.
