Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in principal roles, filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s next ambitious directorial venture, tentatively titled Project K, has taken off the ground. If reports are to be believed, the team is presently filming in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad where scenes involving Prabhas and Deepika Padukone are being shot.
Project K is being touted as one of the costliest films ever made in India. It is mounted on a lavish scale and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to deliver a project that could compete with Hollywood biggies. A new world has been created in Ramoji Film City for the upcoming film.
Vyjayanthi Movies is producing Project K. The makers dropped a video byte of the first shot filmed on Prabhas and Deepika Padukone on social media. It shows the two leading actors of Indian cinema joining hands on the world’s biggest camera.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who also plays a pivotal role in the film, is expected to join the sets soon. While Deepika Padukone has previously worked with the thespian on Piku (2015), Prabhas is teaming up with both Bollywood stars for the first time ever.
Talking about Bachchan’s role in the sci-fi film, Nag Ashwin had earlier said, “I feel lucky and blessed that Bachchan Sir has selected our film among the many choices he has. It is a full-length role, which we believe will do justice to the legend that he is.”
