Priyanka Chopra Jonas Opens Up About The Difficult Time After Malti Marie’s Premature Birth; Says ‘I Used To Put My Ear On Her Chest…’

‘Citadel’, a project starring Priyanka Chopra, Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci, and Leslie Manville, has been released today. Priyanka plays the leading lady on the show. The actress was in India a few weeks ago to promote her web series with Russo Brothers, David Weil, and Richard Madden, and with her family, which included Nick Jonas, Malti Marie, and Madhu Chopra. It was the first time that the little one visited India. In an interview, the actress recalls the time when MM was born prematurely.

Malti Marie was born on January 15, 2022, a few weeks earlier than expected. PC revealed in the interview that she shut down after learning that Malti Marie would be arriving early. Priyanka confesses that it was Nick Jonas who gave her the strength to get through the 110-day stay in the NICU for Malti Marie. When they found out about MM's birth, Nick grabbed her by the shoulders. Priyanka was unsure what to do, but Nick simply told her to get in the car and go to Rady's Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.

Priyanka claims that she has never been without either of them since Malti Marie was born and breathed her first breath. Priyanka Chopra says that she and Nick divided their days so that they could be with Malti Marie at all times, whether it was holding her skin-to-skin or seeing her being cared for by the NICU nurses.

The actress believes it was more Malti's test than theirs. The global celebrity admits that she couldn't be terrified or weak since Malti Marie was scared and weak, therefore she had to be her mother's strength. Priyanka recalls feeling compelled to show MM that she is not alone and that they are on her side.

The actress recalls that they would know Malti Marie was alive because of the monitor when she was in the hospital. The monitor displayed MM's heartbeat. But when they got her home, Priyanka had sleepless nights because Malti Marie was suddenly without a monitor. "I used to put my ear on her chest," she recalls. “I would wake up every couple of minutes to check on her. This carried on for weeks." This war was not only braved by Malti Marie but also by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas!

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have had some of their happiest moments as parents. The couple has successfully balanced their profession and family duties while still having time for each other. The two, on the other hand, have never stopped publicly declaring their love for one another.
