Priyanka recently opened up about a difficult period in her life after a surgery went wrong, causing her to lose many film opportunities. Continue reading to find out everything she said.
Priyanka Chopra opened up about her life and the removal of a polyp in her nasal cavity on a recent edition of 'SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show.' The actress stated that the procedure went horribly wrong, causing her to lose projects. “This thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression.” She claimed that as a result of this, she was sacked from three different film projects, and she believed that the botched surgery would kill her career before it ever began.
Eventually, Priyanka Chopra's father (a doctor) persuaded her to get corrective surgery, despite her reluctance to have another surgery. "I was terrified of that," she added, “I was terrified of that, but he was like, ‘I will be in the room with you.’ He held my hands through it and helped me build back my confidence." She thanks Bollywood director Anil Sharma with helping her find her groove and confidence in her career. She recalled, “I was supposed to play this lead, and I was shifted to a supporting character. That filmmaker was very kind. He, while the tide was against me, said, ‘It will be a small part but give it your all.’ And I did."
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is currently starring in Amazon Prime Video's 'Citadel' as Nadia Singh/Charlotte Vernon, opposite Richard Madden. She will also appear as Mira Ray in the James C.
