Priyanka Chopra's New York restaurant Sona gets Michelin's recognition

After opening her restaurant in New York City called Sona, international star Priyanka Chopra transitioned to entrepreneurship last year. The actress, who is proud to be a co-owner of the Indian eatery, has previously stated how meaningful the initiative is as it takes people "on a food journey through my amazing country."

Priyanka's Sona has made significant progress in just a single year. Michelin recognition has been awarded to the restaurant. You heard correctly, that's true! Our very own Desi Girl is a co-owner of one of the top 30 New York City restaurants nominated for awards this year.

Desi Girl responded to the good news on Wednesday with an Instagram Story. Priyanka shared an article, saying, "Bravo, sonanewyork! We're starting the week strong with Michelin's recognition."

Priyanka Chopra launches her own Indian restaurant Sona in New York City

In March of last year, Priyanka made the announcement about her restaurant. She had written, "I’m thrilled to present to you SONA, a new restaurant in NYC that I poured my love for Indian food into. SONA is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavors I grew up with. The kitchen is helmed by the incredible Chef harinayak, a masterful talent who has created the most delicious and innovative menu, taking you on a food journey through my amazing country."

She also shared pictures from a puja held at Sona in 2019.

Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming projects

Several projects, including the television programs Citadel and It's All Coming Back To Me, will include Priyanka. A Russo Brothers-produced movie called Citadel will premiere on Prime Video. In Patrick Morgan's upcoming sci-fi drama series, Richard Madden and Priyanka are prominent characters. She also appears in Jee Le Zaraa, directed by Farhan Akhtar, alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
