Shraddha Kapoor is the first person that comes to mind when we think of exceptional acting abilities combined with unrivaled charm. The actress, who made her Bollywood debut in 2010 with the movie Teen Patti, became well-known after starring opposite Aditya Roy Kapur in the movie Aashiqui 2. She has also worked on a number of other movies, including Saaho, Ek Villain, and Baaghi. Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor signed to a three-film Nagin franchise back in 2020. The fantasy genre had already been reinvented by several well-known actresses, like Sridevi, and the actress was ready to enter it. But the project hasn't advanced at all.

About the Naagin trilogy getting delayed

It was recently reported that the Naagin trilogy is being delayed because of its enormous budget and the current Bollywood slump. In a recent interview, producer Nikhil Dwivedi refuted the reports. The producer has stated that the rumors that the project has been shelved are untrue. "The news for completely fake. The trilogy of Naagin has not been put on hold, "he stated. He also mentioned that the Shraddha Kapoor starrer is definitely in the works in the interview. The speculation about what will happen to the Naagin franchise has now been put to rest with Nikhil Dwivedi's assurance.

Speaking about her excitement about doing the film and playing Naagin, Shraddha had said in an interview, “Playing a Nagin on screen is a complete joy for me. I grew up watching, adoring, and idolizing Sridevi ma'am's portrayals of Nagina and Nigahen, and I've always yearned to take on a part based on Indian folklore that is comparable to them. It's similar to playing an iconic character, which has always held the audience's attention.”

Shraddha’s upcoming release

Shraddha, who recently appeared in the 2020 movie Baaghi 3 alongside Tiger Shroff, is scheduled to star in her upcoming untitled movie with Ranbir Kapoor which is slated to release in 2023 summer.
