Actor R Madhavan is all set to make his debut as a director in his upcoming Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The actor had recently confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya will be making a cameo in the Hindi and Tamil version of the film. He had revealed that both SRK and Suriya didn’t charge any fee for their appearance in the film.
In a recent chat, Madhavan said that even though Khan agreed to appear in the film without charges, he can’t call him his ‘Brother’. The actor said “Let me tell you honestly, I don’t think of Shah Rukh Khan as my brother. That would be too presumptuous of me. He is a massive superstar. He had no reason to be a part of my film. And it’s not like we socialize or party together. He is a superstar, and I’m an admirer.”
The 3 Idiots actor further added, “He is also an outsider, but the amount of grace that he has, the amount of passion that he has shown me, the entire time that I have known him… From when we were shooting for Zero, and going before that and inviting me to his house, knowing that Sarita is a big fan of his. He has always shown us love, and I want to imbibe those qualities from him.”
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation, who was falsely accused of espionage. The film is set to release in theatres on July 1.
