Raju Srivastava health update: The comedian has been put on a ventilator and is reportedly in severe condition
After suffering a heart attack, well-known actor-comedian Raju Srivastava was rushed to the hospital. On Wednesday, his friend and coworker Sunil Pal verified the statement and said that he was recovering. The most recent reports, however, indicate that Raju Srivastava is currently in a critical condition. According to medical authorities on Thursday, Raju Srivastava is on a ventilator in the AIIMS' intensive care unit (ICU). His family has not, however, provided any confirmation on this.
Around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the 58-year-old stand-up comedian was taken to the AIIMS emergency. A source from the media was quoted saying, "Srivastava had to be resuscitated thrice. He was rushed to the catheterisation lab and underwent angioplasty. He has been admitted to the coronary care unit (CCU)."
Ashok Srivastava, a cousin of Srivastava, claimed that the comedian experienced a heart attack while exercising. "He was doing his routine exercise and while he was on the treadmill, he suddenly fell down. He suffered a heart attack and was immediately taken to the AIIMS hospital," he said. Shikha Srivastava, the actor-wife of the comedian, has arrived in Delhi to be with him.
Raju Shrivastava has acted in several Hindi movies, including Maine Pyar Kiya (1998), Baazigar (1993), Bombay to Goa (1972), and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya (2001).
On Bigg Boss 3, he took part in the show.
