Rakul Preet Singh recently joined the #NoShameMovement at Daulat Ram College, which comes under Delhi University (DU). While lending her support to the cause, the actress also stated that she is excited on being back at a DU college.
"It's amazing to come back to a Delhi University college. I'm from the South campus and it's been ten years since I passed college... So it's really really special. I'm glad to be back here and talk about something that's of utmost importance," said Rakul at the dias.
She also shared a picture from the event on her Instagram story that read "What thrilling energy at Daulat Ram College ❤️ #NoShameMovement".
For starters, the #NoShameMovement aims to support girls who are victims to non consensual media sharing. It plans to create awareness as to how sharing of pictures or any videos of young girls without their consent has a devastating impact on their mental health.
The movement also plans to eradicates shaming of girls related to such unfortunate incidents.
Not so long ago, actress Sara Ali Khan and IAS turned actor Abhishek Singh had also extended support to the movement. The duo attended a programme at DU's Miranda House. Even Union Minister Kiren Rijiju praised Sara and Abhishek for joining the movement.
On work front, Rakul Preet was last seen in Thank God alongside Siddharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgn. She will next feature in 'Chhatriwali' and 'Meri Patni Ka Remake'.
Besides, the 32-year-old actress has also committed to star in the Tamil movies 'Ayalaan' and 'Indian 2' and the bilingual Telugu/Tamil film '31st October Ladies Night'.
