Rakul Preet Singh, who made her relationship official with producer Jackky Bhagnani last year, said she would rather speak about her work than her personal life. She claims that being in a relationship is a “natural progression” and that no one would be interested in their lives if they weren't famous.
Rakul stated in an interview that they didn't want to 'hide' behind the guise of 'being close friends,' and instead wanted to be open about it. The Attack (2022) actress said, “Anybody’s personal life is as normal as anything else in their life. It is just that if we were not actors, it wouldn’t be a talking point. In fact, I feel being in a relationship is the most natural progression for any human being. But do I want it to be a talking point at all points? The answer is no.”
When it comes to the media coverage they receive, the actress said, "My work should speak. Both of us are on our own individual journeys when it comes to our professional sphere. And that’s it. I don’t read it. What matters to me is my job. I treat my job like a job.
Rakul confirmed her relationship status with a photo of the two of them holding hands last year. They've made countless public appearances since then, and they haven't shied away from social media PDA either.
