Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt shower praises on Vaani Kapoor; the trio will soon be seen on the big screen in ‘Shamshera’
‘Shamshera’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt is making headlines. The film is a period drama directed by Karan Malhotra, under the banner of Yash Raj Films which will hit the silver screen on 22nd July.
Recently, the trailer of the film was released and received abundant praise. The actors are busy promoting the film. YRF recently shared some behind-the-scenes footage on their official YouTube channel where Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor were seen praising their co-star Vaani Kapoor.
This is the first collaboration between Ranbir and Vaani. Ranbir shared, “She’s a beautiful actor, very hardworking, very committed and I think she is a closet method actor but like the kind of innocence and the kind of strength she brought to the character was quite amazing. It was a tough character, but she played it so beautifully and I am really proud of her work in this movie”.
Sanjay Dutt also spoke about his experience working with Vaani. He said that she is a fantastic dancer and after getting to know her during work he believes she is a wonderful person.
'Shamshera’ is located in a fictitious city of Kaza with Daroga Shudh Singh, the antagonist, played by Sanjay Dutt. In a dual role, Ranbir Kapoor will play Shamshera and Balli. Vaani Kapoor will portray the character of Sona. The film produced by Aditya Chopra is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22nd.
