Ranbir Kapoor compares Brahmastra to Marvel; says, ‘will connect to a large audience’
Along with Ayan Mukerji, Ranbir Kapoor has kicked off the promotion of Brahmastra.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra is without a doubt one of the most anticipated films of the year. The teaser for the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, was unveiled a few days ago, giving fans a first look at the whole cast and their characters.
Now, the Sanju (2018) actor has spoken out about the upcoming fantasy adventure film in a recent interview. Not only that, but it seems he simply compared it to Marvel, claiming that Ayan is establishing his own superhero universe with the Astraverse.
Speaking to a publication, Ranbir said, “Brahmastra is deep rooted in Indian culture, and we had the opportunity to create our own Marvel, which Ayan is trying to do with his Astraverse. Any film, any good compelling story, made in your culture, in an authentic way, in a true form, will connect to a large audience.”
Ranbir Kapoor went on to say that he and his now-wife Alia Bhatt were sitting and dreaming of working with Ayan Mukerji on this film. They're three best friends, he said, and they're 'really excited and really privileged' to be a part of Brahmastra. “A part of this vision so selfishly as an actor that I would do it over and over again,” Kapoor remarked.
Brahmastra is set to release on 9th September, 2022.
