According to a close friend of the couple, "Ranbir came up with the notion to take a paternity break. He is a really happy expecting parent. He suggested Alia go back to work so he could take care of the baby.
Before moving on to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baiju Bawra, Alia would have to go back and finish the remaining work on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani by Karan Johar.
Ranbir, on the other hand, is putting up a lot of effort to finish Animal by Sandeep Venga. Up until the end of his paternity leave, he has not yet accepted to any new projects.
After signing on for Animal, Ranbir Kapoor would "stop from professional responsibilities" and not sign on for any other films. The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, will reportedly resume filming in mid-October, and Ranbir is eager to wrap up this schedule as soon as possible, according to the entertainment portal. He has already wrapped up filming for the untitled film starring Shraddha Kapoor and Luv Ranjan.
Ranbir Kapoor recently appeared in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, which was their first collaboration on a film. Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy all played significant roles in the movie.
