Ranbir Kapoor reveals why he reached late at the Shamshera trailer launch

For the trailer launch of his upcoming film Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor arrived late. The movie, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in the key roles, will star Ranbir playing a dacoit-turned-freedom fighter. It's interesting to note that the Shamshera’s entire cast attended the trailer's grand debut at the event, but Ranbir made a major revelation at the trailer launch that shocked everyone.

Kapoor showed up at the trailer launch wearing a short black kurta, jeans, and a black jacket. He told fans that he arrived late. He said, “My driver first took me to the Infinity mall, we were in the basement parking but there was no one. So, we got late.”

He further added, “As soon as we came out of the mall, my car got hit by someone and the glass broke. Karan says breaking of a glass is auspicious.”

Ranbir plays two roles in the film Shamshera. A father and son are portrayed by the actor. The trailer showed that a young Ranbir was busy robbing towns and weddings with his dacoit companions, but when his ladylove, played by Vaani, entered his life, his life took a patriotic turn. He decides to fight the British, but he faces a potent threat in the form of Sanjay Dutt as a brutal jailer.

Shamshera will be released in theatres on July 22 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
