Ranveer Singh announces release date for Jayeshbhai Jordaar in a fun video
Last seen in Kabir Khan’s sports drama 83, (2021), Ranveer Singh has some really interesting films in his pocket, including Yash Raj Films’ Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which has been waiting for its release for quite some time now.
On Thursday, the actor took to social media to announce the new theatrical release date for the film in a funny video.
Making the announcement, Singh wrote, “Naam hai JAYESHBHAI…aur kaam hai JORDAAR!!! Chegg out the date announcement video. Celebrate Jayeshbhai Jordaar with YRF50 only on a big screen near you on 13th May.”
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is directed by Divyang Thakkar. In addition to Ranveer Singh, the film also stars Arjun Reddy (2017) star Shalini Pandey in the lead role. She is making her debut in Bollywood with the upcoming film.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar was originally set to hit the marquee in February this year. However, the makers had to postpone its release at the last moment due to the sudden rise in COVID-19 cases, fuelled by the Omicron variant.
With the state of Maharashtra now relaxing restrictions and the government allowing theatres to operate at 100 per cent capacity, several Hindi films have lined up for releases.
Apart from Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer Singh also has Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, and Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus in the pipeline.
