Ranveer Singh nude row: Actor requests two weeks after being asked to appear by Chembur police on Monday
Ranveer Singh was ordered to appear at the Chembur Police Station on Monday after garnering media attention for his sensational nude photo shoot last month. The actor has asked for an additional two weeks, however. After receiving a complaint from the Maharashtra State Commission for Women, a FIR was filed against the actor's most recent shoot.
Ranveer was previously known to have been called by the Mumbai police on August 22 for interrogation in relation to the investigation into his nude photoshoot. The 83 (2021) actor has reportedly requested additional time before being questioned, according to recent reports.
For Paper Magazine last month, Singh posed naked. In response, the actor was accused of violating the law by the Maharashtra State Commission for Women last month. According to attorney Ashish Rai, actor Ranveer Singh did the nude photoshoot, which was then shared on social media. Following that, a FIR was filed at the Chembur police station against the actor under the IPC and IT Act.
The complainant claims that the way the pictures have gone viral on social media is unquestionably in violation of women's and children's rights to dignity. Due to the gravity of the situation, actor Ranveer Singh should receive a notice from the commission, and this controversial photo should be taken off from social media. The Women's Commission has also been asked to take action under suo motu cognizance through the complaint.
