Rhea Chakraborty resumes work with a “never give up” attitude
Actress Rhea Chakraborty has returned to work after staying away from the camera for almost two years now. The actress, who had to suffer a lot after the sudden demise of actor and her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, took to her Instagram handle to share an update.
Giving an insight into her current state of mind while resuming work, Chakraborty wrote, “Yesterday, I went to work after 2 years. A big thank you to all the people who stood by me through my toughest times. No matter what, the sun always shines. NEVER GIVE UP! (sic).”
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death turned Chakraborty’s world upside down. She was accused of being involved in the death of the Kedarnath (2018) actor and was even arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for her alleged involvement in a drug case related to the actor’s death.
Chakraborty went from being the prime suspect in the case to preposterous media trials. She had to spend several weeks in Byculla jail in Mumbai. After spending one month in prison, she was released on bail in October 2020. Her brother, Showik Chakraborty, was also arrested by the NCB. He was released in December the same year.
