Veteran actor Birbal, known for his work in Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, and Bhojpuri films, has passed away at the age of 85. He reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest.

Birbal was born Satinder Singh Khosla in Gurdaspur, Punjab, in 1938. He began his acting career in the late 1960s and went on to appear in over 500 films. He was known for his versatile acting skills and was often cast in character roles.
Some of Birbal's most notable films include 'Upkar', 'Roti Kapda Aur Makaan', 'Kranti,' 'Sholay', 'Aradhana,' 'Mera Naam Joker,' 'Amar Prem', 'Akhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se,' 'Karz', 'Yaarana,' 'Sadma,' 'Betaab,' 'Dil', 'Bol Radha Bol', and 'Mr & Mrs Khiladi.'
He was a member of the Cine & TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) since 1981. The association has expressed its condolences on his death.
Birbal's death is a major loss to the Indian film industry. He was a talented actor who will be remembered for his many memorable performances.
