Riteish Deshmukh is ready to have his first directorial venture with the film, 'Ved.' According to him, the film is very special for him from a professional and personal point of view. Salman Khan agreed to have a special appearance in the film, which makes it more cherished. Salman Khan was the only actor who came to mind when he thought about the dance number Ved Lavlay.
He said, "We wanted a fun song where the protagonist is complaining to his bhau about the woman in love with him. He says she is so nice and perfect that he can't handle it." He is always happy to have a cameo appearance in films and ready to help his close friends. Only one phone call to have such a superstar on board, it's the only effort he took to have such a superstar in his dance number.
Riteish added, saying, "The song required an A-lister to grace it. So, one day, I called Salman bhai. I didn't even have to say anything; he agreed to do the song without hearing any details. I told him that I needed to meet him, but he said it wasn't necessary. His graciousness leaves me speechless. I have never done a dance number with him before. This is his first Marathi song, and the fact that he is a part of my first directorial venture makes it more special."
Ajay-Atul composed the song 'Ved Lavlay' and sung by Vishal Dadlani. The song also stars Genelia Deshmukh, Ashok Saraf, and Salman Khan. The song is shot over two days at a set in Mumbai.
The actor-turned-director has praised the superstar's performance. He said, praising Salman Khan, "After he arrived on the set, he didn't go to his van; he remained throughout on the set. When you are shooting, you have to value people's time. He does that. After the pack-up, he told me, I can shoot more if you require more shots."
Performing on the Marathi Track is not difficult for him because his mother, Salma, is Maharashtrian and also speaks Marathi fluently.
