Rocketry BTS video: Madhavan’s transformation into Nambi Narayanan will leave you surprised
Actor R Madhavan is all set to make his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aeronautical engineer with the Indian Space Research Organization, served as the inspiration for the film. Narayanan was accused of leaking defense secrets, later he was found not guilty.
Madhavan recently shared a BTS video of the film where he was seen narrating the challenges he faced while transforming his look into Nambi Narayanan. He said, “The script had been written in a manner for which the requirement of me looking as close to the real Nambi sir as possible was mandatory. It was literally rocket science how the entire team planned the look from being a 29-year-old man to a 79-year-old guy. To maneuver the look between our schedule of 43 days was one of our greatest achievements. You will see in the film how the transition of the look is so seamless that you would not even realize how and when the look changed.”
In a few of the video's images, Madhavan resembles Narayan perfectly. Suriya is actually seen being shocked by the similarity. On the sets, Suriya also appeared thrilled to see Narayan. In the movie, the Tamil star actor will make a brief appearance. At the video's conclusion, we also see Shah Rukh Khan, who makes an appearance in the Hindi version of the movie.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is set to be released in theatres on July 1, 2022.
