The first-look test for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’, starring Ranveer Singh, and Rani, starring Alia Bhatt, was released today, July 1, on Instagram. While some fans were pleased with the sneak peek, others weren't too delighted.
“Our very first look test of the film! When we were locking looks for ROCKY and RANI,” wrote Karan Johar. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt were pictured together in the first look. Ranveer had long hair and a big beard, giving him a macho appearance. He was wearing a red shirt with white writing on it. He also sported a pair of stud earrings with stones. He was posing for the camera with his hand around Alia.
In a peach-colored, patterned saree and a pink sleeveless blouse, Alia displayed her appeal as a desi. She accessorised with a black bindi on her forehead, silver nose ring, and gold-plated hoop earrings. The Brahmastra actress had a subdued makeover that included kohl-rimmed eyes, a neutral lipstick colour, and flushed cheeks. Her open locks completed her Rani-avatar.
The image also shocked several social media users.
However, several internet users were critical of the appearance test and pointed out its shortcomings.
Along with senior celebs like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ also stars them. The movie is planned to premiere on July 28.
