Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani: Interesting! Alia Bhatt Shot For Her REEL Wedding With Ranveer Singh Just 4 Days After MARRYING Ranbir Kapoor; Check Out COMPARISONS!
Director Karan Johar and the cast of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani attended a press conference in Mumbai on Thursday after garnering a great deal of love and acclaim from critics and viewers alike. The director, together with the stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, made a number of revelations and shared behind-the-scenes information.

The latest song from the film, ‘Kudmayi,’ which is based on Rocky and Rani's lavish wedding, was introduced at the press conference by the production team. In a light-hearted tale, Karan shared the fact that this specific song was filmed in April 2022, just a few days after Alia wed actor Ranbir Kapoor.
Karan Johar stated, “Alia and Ranbir got married, and four days after that we were shooting our sequence with Ranveer and Alia. So in that week, Alia Bhatt got married twice, one in real life and one in reel life. And the mehndi that Alia Bhatt’s character has in the scene is the same mehendi that she had in her wedding celebrations with Ranbir Kapoor. We just darkened it. And we shot that song ‘Kudmayi’ in Jaisalmer and Vaibhavi Merchant picturised it beautifully.``

Alia talked openly about returning just four days after her wedding to shoot the movie's song. She stated, “Kudmayi was shot in the same week as my own wedding. My home wedding was simple. My lehenga was light and easy. I was roaming around freely. Whereas here (in Kudmayi), the lehenga was heavy.”
Alia claimed that she used her memory of her wedding's rites to help with the shoot. Alia recalled an occasion on set when her recollection of her wedding pheras proved useful. She said, “When we were taking pheras (in the film), people around said ‘ladka aage’ (the boy should be in front) and I said, nahi, ladki aage (no, the girl should be in front). I just got married! I know.”
On July 28,2023 the movie 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani,' which also starred Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan, was released in theatres. In its first week of release, the movie has brought in Rs 73 crore, and in its second weekend, it's expected to surpass Rs 100 crore.
